Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Sales Development Executive for a global retail innovation agency to new business acquisition and drive revenue growth 

This is a Full Time opportunity with Base Salary + uncapped commission.

The role is located Onsite in Chicago, IL.

Sales Development Executive Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, leveraging industry expertise and relationships to build a pipeline of executive-level enterprise opportunities.
  • Manage a diverse pipeline to account for varying sales timelines, continuously cultivating early-stage opportunities while guiding mature projects to execution.
  • Develop compelling business justifications and ROI for each opportunity, enhancing retail concepts and merchandising to expand the vertical market segment.
  • Lead deals through the entire sales lifecycle by building relationships and collaborating with key external and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to deliver for clients and close deals, exceeding revenue targets.
  • Develop account-level strategies to communicate our client's unique value proposition for custom point of sale and visual merchandising materials.
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data in a CRM.

Sales Development Requirements: 

  • 8+ years of retail marketing experience, including demonstrated success in new business acquisition.
  • Proven ability to identify, win, and close new business.
  • Experience with brands and retail marketing.
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven, comfortable achieving quantitative sales goals.
  • Experience closing significant new business deals against a substantial annual quota.
  • Superior negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with clients and peers.
  • Experience in the Point of Purchase vertical market segment is a plus.
