You’ll join the Design team to craft captivating visual experiences by designing, animating, and creating high-impact media assets. This is a 12 – month contract + extension. The team is located in Albany, and the role is fully remote.
 
Motion Designer Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with Creative/Art Directors in the development and production of digital marketing materials
  • You'll collaborate closely with a talented team of copywriters, strategists, designers, art directors, and creative directors to develop stunning visuals that resonate with new audiences 
  • Adapt and modify creative assets to suit the requirements of global marketing campaigns.
  • Conceive, design, and animate visual solutions for social media platforms.
  • Contribute to the design, animation, and implementation of campaign and weekly marketing email communications.
  • Participate actively in all phases of the creative process, encompassing research, storyboarding, animation, production, and final delivery.

Motion Designer Requirements: 
  • Possesses 4+ years of professional experience in motion design and animation, both in-house and agency settings.
  • Portfolio: Maintains a robust portfolio and reel featuring cinematic-quality examples of work that demonstrate exceptional skills in animation, design, typography, composition, and pacing.
  • Social Media: Exhibits a deep understanding of all major social media platforms, including their specifications and capabilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Possesses expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and a wide range of motion design software, plugins, and techniques.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrates a mastery of animation principles (2D), compositing, rotoscoping, inspiration gathering and sharing, toolkit creation (lower thirds, transitions, supers, etc.), and logo animation.
  • Creative Suite: Possesses a strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Communication: Excels in both verbal and written communication.
  • Multitasking: Capable of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Industry Trends: Stays current with the latest design trends, technology, techniques, and processes.
  • Quality and Accuracy: Maintains a high level of accuracy and quality control, consistently reviewing work to ensure timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
  • Work Style: Demonstrates flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A collaborative spirit and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Proficiency in Cinema 4D (C4D).
  • Demonstrated expertise in video editing or 3D modeling skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator.
  • Experience in automation and streamlining workflows.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in video editing using Adobe Premiere.
Preferred Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in Art, Design, Visual Effects, or Marketing.

  • *To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
