3D Layout/Previs Artist
Our client, 3D animation studio, is seeking a 3D Layout/Previs Artist join their team. You will report to the 3D Supervisor and be responsible for: Layout previs environments based on concept art and creative input from Supervising Director Work with Engineering team to important Maya environments into game engine technology Work with production team to reassemble final animation scenes using newly development tools in Maya Possess a strong sense of composition, color, and animation timing Musts: 3-5 years in previs animation layout & rigging, preferably on the agency or production company side Strong in Unity, Maya and Adobe After Effects – in order of preference Background and understanding shot continuity of sequence to help guide shot creation Possess an artistic eye for detail and understand the technical specifications for each project Maintain high consistent standard of quality and speed Work well on a team and successfully take direction from a supervisor Adapt quickly and accept change, often have to toss out ideas and start fresh Scripting in c#, python, or MEL as a bonus

Responsibilities: Taking the creative assets that will be coming in from agencies and working them through full production of resizing, cutting, and reformatting Provide forward-thinking creative design for all forms of print, broadcast, and digital media Work collaboratively in a team environment to ensure brand consistency across client initiatives Effectively translate branding and marketing strategies into exceptional creative concepts Prepare and present concepts at internal check-ins and client presentations to validate designs Attend and supervise photography, film and editing sessions to complete creative concepts Work with outside vendors as needed to ensure quality, final productions Musts: 3-5 years of entertainment motion graphics experience Experience with After Effects & Typography Comfortable doing heavy production aspect of motion graphics Able to work in a very fast pace turning assets around quickly Ideal candidate has a portfolio showcasing good quality and a wide range of motion work in the entertainment industry

Our client, an entertainment based agency, is seeking an Art Director to join the motion graphics team. Responsibilities: Create animated graphics, visual effects, and immersive visual stories for theatrical, tv/streaming, and video game trailers and short form spots Ability to pitch ideas to producers and clients that will inspire Enthusiasm toward leading a talented and diverse team Comfortable adapting schedules and expectations in fast-paced, unpredictable environment Advanced knowledge of animation, compositing, and production within After Effects 3D lighting, texturing, look development, camera, animation, and modeling within Cinema 4D workflow Lead and art direct various projects on a daily basis Design and pitch creative ideas for any genre/format Oversee team from concept through finish Work closely with 3D team to execute assignments Setup efficient flexible pipeline for projects as needed Communicate directly with producers and manage deadlines/expectations accordingly Mentorship of less experienced talent to grow into better designers, animators, art directors Musts: 5-12 years of experience in a creative/design agency or in-house brand In-depth knowledge of offline/online finishing process, including non-traditional formats and stereoscopic 3D production Familiarity with motion graphics, entertainment advertising industry and conventions Both conceptualization for impactful visual experiences across large and small screens, as well as the ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative creative environment Elevated design sensibility with ability to execute as well as guide team member contributions Storytelling/conceptual skills with an understanding of film archetypes and history
