Our client, a premiere telecommunications company is looking for a creative Visual Designer to join their team on a long-term contract assignment opportunity in Philadelphia, PA.The UI/Visual Designer will have a hands-on role in the design of business customer-facing products and services. Help shape product benefits around user needs to create engaging and intuitive user interfaces with sales driven results. As part of day-to-day, you will collaborate with team Creative Directors as well as sales, marketing, brand and engineering leads. You will help drive the delivery of digital applications that feature outstanding user experience and elegant design aesthetics. Candidate's portfolio must contain recent mobile and web-based products to be considered. The successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, agile environment where strict attention to detail is applied to multiple projects running in parallel.Responsibilities:Take responsibility for the user interface: identify problems, propose solutions, recommend implementations, and execute UI solutions to improve the user experience Create pixel-perfect, world-class user interfaces and original, eye-catching visual design Deliver high quality work on tight schedules in a dynamic, agile product environment Produce interactive prototypes for internal experimentation and usability testing, and test UI in a rigorous, data-driven way Demonstrate a command of usability and accessibility standards in partnership with visual and interface design disciplines and principles Have a broad experience and a deep understanding of users to recommend UI features that solve customer needs Write intuitive style guides and design specifications with a focus towards engineering implementation Support, communicate, course-correct, and revise through the development phase Maintain a critical eye and an obsessive attention to detailQualifications:A portfolio that showcases several recent e-commerce designs is required for consideration. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic User Experience (UX) Researcher to support our digital customer experience initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity at a Fortune 50 company to shape the digital experiences that impact millions of their customers.The UX Researcher will employ a variety of techniques including usability testing and customer interviews, field research in customers’ homes, remote testing, surveys, industry research reviews and more to gather data and develop insights critical to improving our customers’ experience with our products. You’ll work closely with experience design, product, business and engineering teams to identify opportunities for research.RESPONSIBILITIES:Partner with stakeholders to design generative and evaluative studies to gain user insights, validate concepts, and uncover new product or business opportunities Recommend appropriate methodologies, draft research plans Perform activities such as heuristic reviews, industry research, data mining and competitive reviews Lead and/or participate in primary research studies with customers (remote, in lab or in field), including Discussion guide development, participant recruitment, and preparation of testing materials and prototypes by other teams Facilitate and observe studies in our in-house user research labs and in the field (e.g. in customer homes, in call centers, on truck rolls) to gain first-hand knowledge of user behaviors. In this role, you will help to support our highly respected internal user research practice, specifically as it relates to mobile projects.Requirements:Degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Digital Media, Human Factors, Cognitive Science related discipline or equivalent experience. Master’s degree a plus 3+ years of experience planning, conducting, analyzing and reporting on user studies for discovery and evaluation; comfortable facilitating interviews Expertise with a range of user research methods used to gather qualitative and quantitative data (discovery & strategic research, contextual interviews, formative and summative usability testing, focus groups, card sorting, survey development, secondary research analysis, competitive analysis, etc.) Experience in Information Architecture a plus Experience with remote usability tools such as usertesting.com or UserZoom is a plus Demonstrated experience with early stage research to inform product and UX strategy is a plus Familiarity testing with prototypes (rough drafts and sketches, paper prototypes, working prototypes) and live builds.
