Onward Search is seeking a Retail Strategist at a top advertising agency in SF. This person is responsible for strategic leadership across several top-tier national retailers. The ideal candidate is well-immersed in omnichannel retail trends and consumer shopping behaviors, and is able to weave those insights into strategies that drive successful campaigns, inspire innovation and create the foundation for truly breakthrough retail experiences. The position requires considerable experience in either an agency or client-side retail planning/strategy/innovation role (consumer technology / electronics retailer experience is a plus); high levels of resourcefulness, initiative, inventiveness, entrepreneurial zeal; and a firm grasp on the art of client service. Combining elements of traditional planning with innovations/business consulting, the position will work alongside Account, Creative, Media and Technology leads to define the approach our client take to meet their customer acquisition, conversion and loyalty goals in the rapidly evolving world of retail. The Retail Strategist will also assist the lead Director of Strategy in managing the performance and growth of the Strategy team and will play a key role in nurturing and developing key existing and new business clients. Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for a Video Shooter & Editor with a leading Bay Area arts non profit! Specific responsibilities will include shooting and editing two 1 minute teaser videos featuring the cast and a photoshoot for an upcoming event. These videos will be pushed out via social media to promote the event. The video tones should be exciting and upbeat. You must have 3+ years of video and editing experience. Some light motion design experience is a plus! Equipment can be provided or you can use your own. This is a onsite contract role located in Berkeley that is expected to be 8 hours of work this upcoming Tuesday and Friday. Our client a top digital products company is looking for an Experience Designer to help create a new site focused on top customers. You’ll bring your knowledge of Interaction, UX and Visual Design to help the team imagine, prototype and build a new CS Home Page, enhanced contact initiation pages for various channels (e.g., phone, chat, Twitter and Facebook). You’ll work with a small, high-energy team including a web-dev, back-end developers, CS operational process experts and web site admins. They are an agile team. They try hard to follow the companies design patterns, but are also breaking new ground with this project, so prepare to let your creativity flow freely when needed. Their tech stack for this project is Salesforce Customer Communities and the Lightning Design Center, built on an Aura framework. Responsibilities: Help define an information architecture to guide interaction and visual design Using existing user journeys and personas, conceptualize an interaction design for the proposed new personalize self-service features Create storyboards, flows and wireframes to describe the visual and user experience for the new site pages and self-help tools Collaborate with the site Product Manager to ensure design trade-offs are optimized to business goals Collaborate with the front/back end team members to ensure designs are efficiently communicated and implemented. Assume this may be an iterative process Participate as helpful/needed in team meetings Requirements: 5-7 years design experience.
