Our client, a well-known restaurant company, is looking for a Marketing Designer.This is a contract-to-hire role, 40 hrs/wk, located in Pleasanton, CA.This person will be joining the Marketing department and will report to the Channel Marketing Manager.You will be responsible for taking direction from written or spoken ideas and converting them seamlessly into high-quality, innovative and dynamic print and digital collateral and point of sale materials. Responsibilities will also include managing an external menu design vendor, as well as the outsourcing of photography needs. In addition, the role will also provide creative direction for enhanced customer ordering and the online customer journey.This role will primarily support the marketing department and corporate initiatives, with some projects supporting cross-functional teams including operations, food safety, and HR.Responsibilities:Maintain the brand by implementing the company look & feel, messaging, positioning and pillars to promote brand awareness outside of our customer base and improve the guest experience within. Support marketing efforts through the creation of promotional content to advertise new and existing products, loyalty programs, and other customer benefits. Maintain the brands' online presence by creating the necessary visual assets for the mobile apps, self-serve kiosk, desktop, and mobile websites to allow on-going functionality of all our e-commerce platforms. Showcase the variety and quality of our products through food styling and art direction during photoshoots to encourage the sale of new and existing menu items. Implement menu changes and schedule marketing campaigns through our in-store digital menu boards to increase sales and customer awareness of current promotions. Improve the ordering process for customers by optimizing and unifying the menu experience across all e-commerce platforms in order to increase average ticket and customer return frequency. Support sales activities by developing and/or optimizing the printed in-store menus, catering menus and other sales collateral for Team Members and Business Development Managers to utilize in the stores and in the field. Support ad hoc requests by fulfilling the creative needs of the stores and other departments to allow clear inter-company communication as well as effective communications to customers. Assist in the creation of a creative process through brainstorming, creating checkpoints and establishing a revision process in order to streamline design decision-making and increase productivity. Manage the outsourcing of photography of products (in-studio) based on campaign direction and brand guidelines, as well as any ad-hoc requests, such as on-site store photography, videos, etc. Manage the vendor responsible for menu redesign & implementation of new menus, prices, and creative Provide creative direction for new or enhanced programs that support the online customer journey/ordering processExperience:3+ years of experience in graphic design, creative asset production, and/or photography Experience in a food/beverage industry, retail environment, or similar a plus Highly proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Lightroom, etc.) Sketches for development Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Must have strong photo retouching and photography skills Experience in UI/UX Design a plus.
