UI/UX Production Designer
Our client, a Digital Entertainment Company, is seeking a UI/UX Production Designer for a freelance opportunity. You will report to the Executive UX Design Director and be responsible for: champion the art of UX production design for sports, news and entertainment brands across all consumer products including web, mobile, and set-top box devices. Being in a highly visible role is the go-to source for UX production (UI scenarios, design systems, platform translations) and will interface with internal teams such as product, marketing, content operations, and technology. Execute UI/UX production design for the entire design team covering a wide gamut of platforms and devices including web, apps and 10ft devices. Taking the vision and concept of an interface to actual functional details, fleshing out all missing states and scenarios working with design leads to help build all needed UI permutations, all of which are critical for development handoff. Ensuring there are quality and consistency across the board, every feature and pattern produced, no matter its scale or how many devices it touches, has to follow a consistent high-level set of design standards, principles, and expectations. Put together plans/checklists outlining UX Production workloads; providing estimates for completion to our design project manager. Provide daily UX production status to your leads, coordinating, getting clarification and daily direction to make sure UX design deliverables are on schedule. Perform design QA; making sure all UI states are built to spec and that design patterns are being implemented correctly by both Product and Development teams. Bringing great knowledge and understanding of the basic building blocks for great design including typography, color, layout, interaction, problem-solving, and usability. Support the design team where possible helping gathers requirements, deliverables, supply UI scenario ideas, crosscheck project direction with leads and management to improve efficiencies and performance. Musts: 4-7 years experience ideally in an agency setting and/or within entertainment or sports networks/content Solid understanding of UX and Digital Production design understanding what it takes to achieve attractive and effective user-centric solutions. Experience working with or have had experience building design systems, style guides or blue lines. Master with Sketch but you also have a great grasp of Adobe CS software (PS, IA, XD) and other UX tools like Abstract, Zeplin, LucidChart, or Gallery. Prototyping experience and/or knowledge are required having previously have built or have helped build prototypes for testing or review purposes. Extremely detailed-oriented bringing light any design process, function or step during any project planning session or meeting. Keep track of projects, timelines, deadlines and requirements with ease. Proactive, follow direction and process where need be, but can also formulate a production plan when there is a void/gap in direction. Well-versed in the latest technologies and industry trends (from iOS, to Roku to responsive web). Strong communication skills from drafting emails, responding on Slack to verbally communicating possessing the skills to professionally and effectively communicate information to any team member. This includes assisting with the production of both print (catalog, packaging labels, training manuals, and event and retail collateral) and digital assets (email, web, social), coordination of digital file transfers, correspondence with vendors as needed, and assisting creative team with building and maintaining server and managing assets. Creative Traffic Specialist
Our client a top employer within the luxury hospitality industry is looking for a Creative Traffic Specialist to join their team, fulltime. This role is on-site, in Miami, FL starting ASAP. The Creative Traffic Specialist will be responsible for managing all in-house marketing production schedules from inception through completion. This person will work closely with management to guide resource management and workflow needs for the entire creative team, while managing project management systems, coordinate daily workflow and supports the planning and launch of all new promotions, product enhancements & launches, and more relating to the marketing team’s initiatives. Day-to-Day: Develop timelines and production schedules, organize creative workflow and timelines for all marketing projects (direct mail, brochures, digital/web) in collaboration with the creative services team. Collaborate with Creative/Production teams to ensure project timelines are followed, vendor specifications are accurately provided, and deliverables are met Establish creative brief templates to ensure timely sharing of required information between Marketing and Graphics teams relevant to job requests. Manage web-based project management system – making continual optimizations with the vendor to improve workflow and generate automated reporting regularly. Collect input from Marketing Department on how the system is working, leading the charge with the system by making improvements while managing contracts and negotiating annual contract terms to ensure agreement maximizes needs. Build and maintaining a content asset system/library for image and copy content. Take part in project management and timeline scheduling of video asset projects. Assist in pre-production planning and scheduling for video and photoshoots at the direction of VP Creative. Manage the post-production schedule and upload to Digital Asset Management system once approved. Assist in the planning/development of new marketing initiatives while streamlining content development and approval to increase speed to market. Strong understanding of the studio/graphic arts process including basic knowledge of creative programs, copy and design functions, and file setup for production needs. Onward Search is looking for a Digital Asset Management Coordinator for one of our Luxury Clients in NYC on a contract basis. AEM DAM Coordinator (Adobe Experience Manager - Digital Asset Management Coordinator) The AEM DAM Coordinator role will include organizing large volumes of rapidly changing digital content, checking and enforcing naming taxonomies and ensuring that files are tagged with relevant and accurate metadata. This individual will facilitate the retrieval of previously cataloged assets for the global marketing community and enforce relative usage rights.
