On August 23rd, UX Week 2011 kicks off at The Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF in San Francisco. If you’re not familiar with this event, picture this:  4 days of epic design and user experience presentations where design professionals from all over the world congregate to learn from one another, share the latest ideas and tools, and leave with shiny new skills and concepts. The speaker line up and workshop schedule are pretty spectacular, plus, the Onward Search San Francisco team will be there!

All the UX Week fun kicks off with keynote from the sharp, creative force, known as DJ Spooky who, according to this Adaptive Path interview, can twist up your creative thinking like “brain yoga.”

The UX Week workshops are designed to give you hands on experience with concepts and challenges that apply directly to your design career. There’s a great selection of workshops to attend, so it may be tough to choose, but valuable takeaways are guaranteed no matter what.

7. Get tickets to attend Nightlife.

Onward Search is sponsoring at trip to Nightlife on Thursday night at the Academy of Sciences. It’s a mixture of music, creatures and cocktails – what’s not to love?

The event is taking place on UCSF’s new 43-acre life sciences campus for teaching and research. Located in commutable distance to downtown San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley, there will be plenty of fun entertainment for when you’re not immersed in the fantastic workshops and speakers.

Adaptive Path’s Ljuba Miljkovic created the super cool Transporter app just for Bay Area riders of public transportation. This handy app will make getting to and from the event, plus all the nearby attractions, a breeze!
