We’re partnering with a leading industry company to find a talented Data Governance Manager to support a remote team. This role is ideal for an experienced governance professional capable of leading active initiatives and fostering strong relationships with data domains. The position offers an opportunity to oversee data stewardship efforts and support ongoing governance projects, all while working within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Data Governance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide a team of senior analysts responsible for domain engagement and stewardship activities.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, support prioritization efforts, and address any roadblocks to keep initiatives progressing smoothly.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across governance forums, work sessions, and domain engagements.
  • Review governance documentation, training materials, and project artifacts to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Support metadata-related activities and ensure projects align with the company's strategic objectives.

Data Governance Manager Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading or executing data governance or stewardship programs in complex organizational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of governance concepts such as data ownership, stewardship models, metadata, and data quality.
  • Ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Skilled at working across technical and business teams, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
