We’re partnering with our client, a cruelty-free beauty brand, to find a talented Director of PR & Communications. This is a hybrid role based primarily in West Hollywood, CA, supporting a luxury beauty company known for innovation and artistry. The position offers an exciting opportunity to shape impactful storytelling and elevate brand presence across international markets.

Director, PR & Communications Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies that support brand priorities, new product launches, and purpose-driven campaigns. Own the PR calendar and messaging frameworks to ensure consistent storytelling across all platforms. Craft narratives that highlight innovation, performance, and cruelty-free luxury to media outlets.

Cultivate relationships with journalists and media in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and business sectors. Support promotional efforts such as red carpet appearances, collaborations, and behind-the-scenes content to boost brand credibility. Manage agency partnerships to ensure strategic alignment, timely execution, and quality media placements. Build long-term connections with media, VIPs, and makeup artists to advocate for the brand.

Lead planning and execution of 360-degree PR campaigns for product launches and brand initiatives. Oversee creation of press materials like releases, toolkits, and event guidelines. Ensure campaign content is on-brand, culturally relevant, and tailored to regional markets. Analyze and report on campaign performance, media impact, and key learnings.

Collaborate with internal teams on executive communications, employee engagement, and thought leadership initiatives. Support messaging for leadership participation in panels, press, and corporate projects. Maintain a content calendar to bolster the professional social media presence.

Partner with cross-functional teams and agencies to integrate messaging across channels. Oversee regional PR efforts, monitor budgets, and measure performance against KPIs. Manage the PR budget, including planning, tracking, and evaluating ROI.
Director, PR & Communications Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years in public relations or brand communications, preferably within beauty, luxury, fashion, or lifestyle sectors.

Proven success in creating impactful, results-driven communication strategies.

Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.

In-depth knowledge of the global beauty industry and cultural landscape, including artist-led storytelling and tastemakers.

Strategic thinker with high attention to detail and adaptability.

Effective communicator experienced in presenting to leadership and cross-disciplinary teams.

Ability to work from a corporate office environment at least 60% of the time in West Hollywood, CA (Tuesdays through onsite presence).
