We’re partnering with a leading insurance company to find a talented Oracle Database Application Analyst. This fully remote role is perfect for candidates with a strong background in database application development and a passion for financial systems supporting life insurance operations. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects within a dynamic team environment from anywhere within the remote, out-of-region setting.

Database Developer Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance internal financial reporting database applications for life insurance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with business, finance, and technology teams to translate complex requirements into technological solutions.
• Support the monthly data warehouse loading processes and create automation workflows for reporting.
• Develop, implement, and improve database programs, including enhancements for existing products and new initiatives.
• Provide both application development and production support, including tier 2 and tier 3 support for database systems.

Database Developer Qualifications:

• A four-year college degree with at least two years of experience in database application development or administration.
• Proficiency in Oracle (11g/19c), including SQL, PL/SQL, SQLPlus, and SQLLoader, with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience.
• Solid Linux OS skills, including shell scripting, with at least two years of experience.
• Experience using TOAD for database management.
• Strong Excel skills, particularly with VLOOKUP and macros.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools such as ESP or Stonebranch UAC is preferred.
• Familiarity with MS-Access and Python is a plus.
• Business understanding of life insurance products.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt quickly, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with a comprehensive approach to validation and deliverable quality.
