A leading insurance solutions provider is seeking an Oracle Database Application Analyst to support their financial systems team. This is a remote, out-of-region role on a temporary basis, where you will contribute to maintaining and improving critical data warehouse applications supporting life insurance financial reporting.
The application analyst position involves managing and enhancing internal database applications, automating reports, ensuring smooth monthly data loads, and translating complex business needs into technical solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide both development and support, and work on multiple projects with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Oracle Database Application Analyst Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and enhancement of financial database applications tailored for life insurance reporting.
- Automate reporting processes and ensure robust data loading procedures are executed each month.
- Translate complex actuarial and business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for oracle database applications, including implementation of new features.
- Collaborate effectively with business, finance, and technology teams to meet project objectives.
Oracle Database Application Analyst Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with at least 2 years of experience in database application development or administration.
- Proficiency in Oracle (11g/19c), including sql, pl/sql, sqlplus, and sqlldr, with a minimum of 2 years.
- Hands-on experience with Linux OS, shell scripting, and related tools for at least 2 years.
- Experience using TOAD for database management, with at least 2 years of familiarity.
- Strong skills in Excel, including macros and VLookup; knowledge of scheduling tools like ESP/Stonebranch is a plus.
