We're partnering with our client to find a talented FHIR Subject Matter Expert to support a remote team. This 100% remote contract role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical healthcare data projects. FHIR Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of healthcare data, identifying insights and supporting onboarding of new data sources.
• Develop and implement strategies for integrating clinical data with interoperability standards, including mapping content to data standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams to validate data models, terminology, and code sets, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Examine healthcare data received from diverse sources and create data models to convert raw data into FHIR format.
• Translate business unit data needs into clear technical requirements for data transformation and interoperability.

FHIR Subject Matter Expert Qualifications:

• Extensive experience working with FHIR APIs and resources, including data mapping between HL7 v2 and FHIR.
• Proficiency in developing source-to-target mappings and conducting functional testing of FHIR outputs.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7 V2, HL7 CCDA, HL7 FHIR, and IHE ITI transactions.
• Hands-on experience with HL7 interfaces/messages like ADT, ORM, ORU, RDE, and MDM.
• Well-versed in clinical data formats, data quality improvement, and healthcare terminologies including ICD, SNOMED, CPT, and LOINC.
• Intermediate skills in SQL querying and data analysis.
