Onwards Search is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a cutting-edge team focused on developing AI-powered game intelligence systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale machine learning infrastructure, distributed training platforms, and next-generation gaming experiences.

Software Engineer II Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain distributed training systems for real-time game understanding agents across multi-GPU clusters.
• Create scalable simulation environments for parallel data collection and policy evaluation.
• Automate ML workflows, including experiment tracking, model versioning, and data quality management.
• Design and support inference-serving infrastructure with model versioning, latency optimization, and failover strategies.
• Build developer tools and SDKs that accelerate AI agent development from prototype to large-scale deployment.

Software Engineer II Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of software engineering or machine learning engineering experience.
• Strong experience with distributed systems and large-scale ML training environments.
• Hands-on experience with Reinforcement Learning (RL) and/or Imitation Learning (IL) training systems.
• Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of C++.
• Experience with PyTorch, Ray/RLlib, and game engines such as Unreal Engine.
• Passion for AI, machine learning, and game development.
