A leading hardware development company is hiring a Mechanical Drafter to support their innovative robotic systems team. This contract role is based on-site and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to design and manufacturing processes through precise technical documentation.

Mechanical Drafter Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed technical drawings and 3D models for mechanical components and assemblies used in robotic systems.
• Interpret engineering sketches and translate them into accurate, manufacturable drawings that align with production requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure designs meet specifications and standards.
• Apply GD&T principles and mechanical tolerancing techniques to ensure product quality.
• Document design revisions and maintain accurate records through revision control systems.

Mechanical Drafter Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a mechanical drafter or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Onshape.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and mechanical tolerancing.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawing standards such as ASME Y14 or ISO.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches and manufacturing processes like CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and 3D printing.
