A leading media and entertainment company is hiring a Technical Accounting Manager to join their team in an exciting temporary role. This opportunity is open to candidates within the specified location requirements and offers a chance to work on critical financial initiatives with broad exposure to various finance functions. The position is classified as temp, lasting approximately 27 to 52 weeks.

Technical Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical resource on complex accounting issues, including revenue, mergers, financial reporting, and lease accounting.
• Assist with accounting research, financial modeling, and transaction reviews related to intricate accounting matters.
• Prepare and update technical accounting documentation, including memoranda, white papers, and policies aligned with IFRS standards.
• Collaborate with business units to understand current practices and develop future IFRS-compliant procedures.
• Support the implementation of new IFRS standards and contribute to training initiatives and external audit processes.

Technical Accounting Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a comparable industry role.
• Proven expertise in conducting technical accounting research and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP, with experience reviewing complex transactions preferred.
