Our client, a fitness company, is seeking a hands-on Temporary Staff Accountant to provide immediate coverage and support during a leave of absence. This person will jump in quickly, operate with minimal ramp time, and help keep day-to-day accounting operations and close activities moving smoothly. Sage Intacct experience is required and a must-have. This role is hybrid-onsite in Carlsbad, CA. And you must be able to start immediately.

Temporary Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and transaction review.
• Assist with month-end close activities:
  • prepare and post recurring and ad hoc entries
  • reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • support tie-outs and variance explanations
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and ensure timely processing.
• Provide support for audit-ready documentation and requests as needed.
• Maintain and reinforce strong internal control practices and accurate documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement and clean, consistent accounting practices within Sage Intacct (and connected workflows).

Temporary Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Demonstrated Staff Accountant / GL accounting experience (full-cycle exposure strongly preferred).
• Sage Intacct: hands-on proficiency (navigation, entries, reporting, reconciliations).
• Strong working knowledge of core accounting principles and best practices.
• Proven ability to work fast, accurately, and independently in a high-accountability environment.
• Clear communicator--comfortable working with non-accounting partners.
• Avaiilable to start immediately.
