Our client is seeking a FHIR Subject Matter Expert for a temporary, remote opportunity supporting healthcare data initiatives. The role analyzes and maps clinical data, translates business needs into requirements, and advances interoperable, high-quality solutions with analytics and technical partners.

FHIR Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities:

• Analyze healthcare data and profile raw source data to identify insights and document onboarding requirements.
• Establish interoperability approaches by mapping clinical content to appropriate data standards.
• Validate data models, vocabulary, terminology, and code sets for healthcare data harmonization.
• Partner with technical resources to identify root causes and remediate data quality issues.
• Examine healthcare data from applications and vendors and develop mappings to convert raw data into FHIR format.

FHIR Subject Matter Expert Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise with FHIR APIs and resources, including data mapping between HL7 v2 and FHIR.
• Ability to create source-to-target maps and conduct functional testing of FHIR outputs.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2, HL7 CCDA, HL7 FHIR, and IHE ITI transactions.
• Experience with ADT, ORM, ORU, RDE, and MDM interfaces and asynchronous information exchange principles.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data quality, clinical data formats, healthcare standards, documentation, and intermediate SQL querying.
