IAAP Welcomes Onward Accessibility’s Director of Accessibility Solutions to Certification Committee
NORWALK, CT | May 7, 2025
Onward Accessibility, a division of Onward Search, announced that Pete Bruhn, its Director of Digital Accessibility Solutions, has been appointed to the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) Certification Committee. The certification committee plays a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the organization’s globally recognized accessibility certification program, policies, and activities.
With fewer than a dozen members, this committee is composed of respected accessibility professionals nominated and selected for their experience and impact in the field. It is responsible for all essential certification decisions, including the oversight of exam development and experiences. As part of this accomplished group, Bruhn will help enhance the certification process and ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation requirements.
Bruhn is a long-standing IAAP member and a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC). At Onward Accessibility, he oversees the organization’s end-to-end digital accessibility solutions, from strategy to delivery. For nearly a decade, he has empowered clients to make digital experiences accessible, maintain compliance, and integrate accessibility into organizational processes. Now, he joins IAAP in exploring new certification pathways and advancing accessibility across industries.
