Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring a Software Engineer for a leading gaming and entertainment company known for creating immersive digital experiences and beloved franchises.

You’ll join the Customer Support Technology team to design and develop internal tools used to provide world-class customer experiences. This is a 4-6 month contract opportunity located in Irvine, CA and is Remote.

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design and implement solutions to enhance customer support experience for both players and internal staff.

• Provide technical leadership in backend systems using .NET Core.

• Collaborate with business analysts, designers, producers, and partner teams throughout the SDLC.

• Maintain and improve proprietary customer support applications and integrations.

• Share best practices and documentation across engineering teams.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed.

• Mentor junior developers as appropriate.

Software Engineer Requirements:

• 3–6 years of software development experience.

• Proficiency in C#, with working knowledge of Java and TypeScript.

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Passion for building robust and scalable applications.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or AWS.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of observability, analytics, or reporting solutions.

• Interest in or knowledge of online games and services.

• Contributions to open-source projects or personal coding initiatives.
