We’re hiring a Senior Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Consultant to join our Fortune 500 financial services client’s in-house Paid Media team in New York City. This is a 12+ month opportunity with potential for conversion to full-time and includes some hybrid flexibility.

In this highly visible role, you’ll act as a key contributor within the client’s internal media agency. You'll collaborate with both internal stakeholders across Travel Lines of Business and the client’s external media agency to execute integrated marketing strategies across Programmatic, Paid Media, and Paid Social. Your expertise in SEM will help shape meaningful, data-driven campaigns that elevate brand performance and ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and manage large-scale Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns from concept through reporting.

  • Oversee multi-million dollar campaign budgets, including accurate forecasting and budget reconciliation.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units, engaging in consultative discussions around SEM strategies.

  • Identify challenges and develop actionable solutions to enhance SEM program performance.

  • Design and implement robust testing strategies and leverage results to optimize campaign effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Search Engine Marketing.

  • Experience on either an agency or in-house search team, managing acquisition-driven SEM campaigns at scale.

  • Proven success executing SEM campaigns in the financial sector, e-commerce, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads; experience with Amazon, Facebook, or Pinterest is a plus.

  • Familiarity with third-party SEM tools such as SA360, Adobe, or Marin.

  • Google Ads Certification preferred.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience managing SEM budgets of $10 million or more.
