We’re hiring a Scrum Master for a hybrid opportunity based in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a contract role through January 31, 2026, with the potential for extension.

Join our client’s team as a dynamic leader, driving the successful delivery of complex software application projects within the Corporate Products portfolio. This role is pivotal in managing project risks, issues, and decisions, while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This position requires onsite presence three days per week, with two days remote. Onward Search provides benefits for a 40-hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for the duration of the contract.

Scrum Master Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the delivery of large-scale software initiatives, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, and schedule.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and forecasts, and addressing variances proactively.

  • Oversee project change control processes, assessing impacts on schedule, cost, and scope.

  • Collaborate with business partners and leadership to meet project goals and deliverables.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive status reports to the Technology Services monthly portfolio review meetings.

Scrum Master Duties:

  • Act as Scrum Master for one or more teams, facilitating the delivery of features in the Global Sales and corporate intranet domains.

  • Work closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Lead quarterly PI Planning sessions, driving team commitment to user stories and sprint goals.

  • Remove impediments and shield the team from external disruptions, fostering a productive work environment.

  • Monitor and report team performance metrics to the Agile Center of Excellence monthly.

Collaboration and Interfaces:

  • Engage with business partners, implementation partners, IT development and support teams, and vendors.

  • Interface with IT leadership, Technology Business Management/PMO, Finance, and Procurement.

Scrum Master Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing full lifecycle delivery of complex software initiatives.

  • Over 5 years of project management experience across various disciplines and technologies.

  • At least 1 year of experience leading Agile teams as a Scrum Master.

  • Strong knowledge of project/program management methodologies and constraints.

  • Exceptional analytical, budgeting, and communication skills.

  • Experience with SaaS/cloud-based applications (preferred).

  • PMP and Scrum Master certifications (preferred).

  • Familiarity with tools like Clarity PPM, Rally, and JIRA (preferred).
