We’re looking for a Desktop Support Technician for an on-site role in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 3-6 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.

Our client is seeking a dedicated Technology Support Engineer to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing their technology systems and infrastructure. This position is integral to ensuring seamless technology operations and providing exceptional support to end-users. This position is on-site 5 days a week. Onward Search provides benefits for a 40-hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for the duration of the contract.

Desktop Support Technician Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup, configuration, and upkeep of technology systems, encompassing hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications.

• Address technology-related incidents and service requests, delivering prompt and effective technical support.

• Engage in technology projects, contributing to tasks such as testing, documentation, and user training.

• Support the development and implementation of technology operations procedures to ensure secure and consistent operations.

• Aid in managing technology inventory, including procurement, asset tracking, and license management.

• Help create and maintain technical documentation, such as system configurations and troubleshooting guides.

Desktop Support Technician Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in technology operations, technical support, or a related field.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Solid understanding of technology infrastructure components, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems.

• Familiarity with the ITIL framework and basic IT service management principles.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot technology issues.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and end-users.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• Basic knowledge of project management concepts is advantageous.
