Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Senior IT Architect for an onsite opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time, 9-month W2 contract role.
In this role, you will serve as a seasoned technology leader responsible for designing and delivering innovative, scalable Salesforce solutions that align with business goals. As the Enterprise Salesforce Architect, you’ll define the architectural vision and governance practices for the organization, ensuring all solutions meet high standards of performance, security, and maintainability. You'll collaborate with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver architectural integrity and strategic value across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Senior IT Architect Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise Salesforce solutions.

Establish and maintain an enterprise-grade Salesforce architecture framework, including integration and application design patterns.

Implement best practices in data governance, compliance, and platform security.
-
Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and industry trends, recommending improvements as needed.
-
Architect hybrid and multi-cloud environments, integrating Salesforce with on-premises and cloud platforms.
-
Define and promote data integration strategies between Salesforce and the broader ecosystem (e.g., AWS, GCP, SaaS, PaaS, on-prem).

Create and maintain architectural diagrams, design documents, and data models using tools such as Lucidchart.
-
Document decision rationales and architectural trade-offs to support scaling, troubleshooting, and optimization.
-
Design unified, scalable architectures aligned with industry and enterprise standards.
-
Translate emerging technology trends into business value and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.

Develop high-level business cases and influence senior leadership on technology adoption.
-
Lead evaluations of new technologies and provide direction on their alignment with IT strategy.

Analyze systems and processes from end to end, in collaboration with IT and business teams.
-
Provide architectural guidance to ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, operable, and delivered on schedule.

Advise on vendor selection, partnerships, and strategic technology decisions.
Senior IT Architect Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
-
10–15+ years of progressive experience in IT architecture, with deep expertise in multiple domains and technologies.

Mastery in enterprise architecture and deep knowledge of platform capabilities and limitations.
-
Strong understanding of architecture principles across multiple product families.
-
Experience leading Agile and engineering processes (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, ITIL).
-
Familiarity with industry-standard process improvement methodologies (e.g., CMMI, ISO 9000, Six Sigma).
-
Salesforce Architect certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect).
-
In-depth knowledge of Salesforce solutions: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Loyalty Cloud, and Data Cloud.

Proven experience with integration technologies (e.g., MuleSoft, REST APIs, event-driven architecture).

Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
-
Experience with cloud platforms including Google Cloud and AWS (preferred).

Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (preferred).
-
Experience working with Hospitality Data, Big Data, AI/ML, and BI tools (preferred).

Experience with web and native applications, property management systems, and Kubernetes (preferred).
