We’re seeking a Sr Product Designer (Entertainment App) to join our client’s team onsite in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time opportunity at a startup with base salary and equity compensation.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Product Team to design and ship innovative consumer social and/or video products from inception. You’ll bring a passion for social networks and media, translating user insights into impactful design decisions while maintaining a high bar for visual and interaction quality. You will join a team of kind, smart, creative, and mission-focused builders. Sr Product Designer (Entertainment App) Responsibilities:

Create useful and delightful mobile-first experiences for watching short-form stories.

Design elegant, creative, and sharing tools that help audiences talk, make memes, and connect with each other over stories on the platform.

Build features that encourage users to come for the shows and stay for the network.

Lead the development of high-priority design projects from concept to launch — including user research, prototyping, visual design, and implementation support.

Develop, define, and maintain cohesive design systems to ensure consistency across the app and future products.

Help define, improve, and maintain the company's visual identity and brand guidelines.

Work closely with engineering, product, and content teams to rapidly prototype and test new features, iterating based on user feedback and data.
Sr Product Designer (Entertainment App) Qualifications:
-
3+ years in design, including ownership or leadership of ambitious social media and/or video product launches.

Proven ability to design and ship consumer social and/or video products from inception.

Experience at a consumer social startup or innovation team is a plus.

Familiarity with video-centric or community-driven products is a plus.

Knowledge of AR/VR, AI, or emerging media formats is a plus.

Passion for the future of social networks and TV.

Expert in Figma; skilled in building rapid prototypes (Origami, Play, ProtoPie, or similar) for testing with internal teams and beta users.

User Research: Enthusiastic about talking to users, identifying their needs, and translating insights into impactful design decisions.

Expertise in motion graphics and After Effects.

Self-aware, independent yet approachable, empathetic, collaborative, and thrives in multidisciplinary teams.
