We’re seeking an Associate Product Category Manager to join our client’s Consumer Products team in a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA. This is a 6-month opportunity with a leading gaming and entertainment company known for creating immersive experiences for players worldwide.

In this role, you will help drive the development and execution of product strategies for physical merchandise, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the brand’s vision. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to manage timelines, budgets, and product quality across a range of categories.

Associate Product Category Manager Responsibilities:

• Execute the strategic vision for hardlines product categories, including Toys & Collectibles, Consumer Electronics, and Game Peripherals, across both licensed and OEM products.

• Conduct detailed analyses of sales, pricing, player feedback, and forecasts to inform product selection and inventory planning.

• Partner with regional teams, eCommerce, and game teams to execute distribution plans.

• Maintain budgets, track financial data, and ensure timely project delivery.

• Organize product team meetings, track action items, and ensure cross-team visibility of timelines.

• Manage shipping and receiving of product samples and prototypes.

• Research market trends, player behaviors, and competitive landscapes to identify innovation opportunities.

• Support digital integrations with game teams.

Associate Product Category Manager Qualifications:

• Expertise with spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).

• Expertise with project management tools (AirTable, Trello, or Asana).

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in product, brand, or category management, product marketing, business development, or licensing (preferred).

• Budget management and market data analysis experience.

• Ability to work on cross-category initiatives.

• Passion for games; experience with popular gaming titles is a plus.
