Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire an AI Innovation + Adoption Manager for a leading agency client in a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, California.
In this role, you’ll serve as the connective tissue between strategy, creativity, and emerging technologies—owning the implementation and adoption of AI across teams. You’ll work directly with executive leadership to research, pilot, and scale innovative tools that enhance creative workflows, elevate storytelling, and drive business value. This is a hands-on, front-of-house position for a builder who understands both the possibilities of AI and the realities of agency life.
AI Innovation + Adoption Manager Responsibilities:

Manage the agency’s growing AI stack—including text, image, and video generation platforms—while driving hands-on onboarding, training, and enablement across teams.

Collaborate with creative, strategy, production, and new business teams to embed AI into real projects—boosting speed, scale, and storytelling potential.

Work alongside the Chief Creative & Innovation Officer to identify new technologies, run pilots, and deliver business cases that support enterprise-wide innovation.

Build and maintain a centralized, ever-evolving knowledge base of tools, vendors, pilots, and learnings to future-proof the agency’s approach to emerging tech.

Act as the agency’s go-to expert on responsible AI use—advocating for augmentation over automation and ensuring creative voices stay at the center.

Manage and grow the Innovation Coordinator, ensuring alignment with day-to-day initiatives while providing coaching and development support.
AI Innovation + Adoption Manager Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in creative technology, digital innovation, or AI enablement—ideally within an agency, studio, or forward-thinking brand.

Strong working knowledge of AI tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, Sora, Firefly, ElevenLabs, and prompt engineering best practices.

Experience operationalizing tech adoption—training teams, designing workflows, and measuring results.

Exposure to creative production, marketing strategy, or product design is a major plus.

Background in scripting, APIs, or low-code/no-code tools is a bonus—but not required.

Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

*Eligibility requires working over 30 hours per week on an assignment lasting at least 10 weeks.
