We're partnering with a leading consumer technology company seeking a PR Manager to support product communications across high-visibility consumer experiences and emerging platform innovations. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape proactive storytelling around product launches, platform updates, safety initiatives, and AI-driven experiences.

PR Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead proactive product communications initiatives across consumer-facing platform features and experiences
  • Attend product meetings and partner closely with Product teams to stay informed on upcoming launches and feature developments
  • Translate product updates into thoughtful PR narratives and messaging strategies
  • Develop and execute media storytelling plans focused on communication, creativity, connection, safety, and AI innovation
  • Draft press materials including messaging docs, talking points, media briefs, newsroom content, and launch communications
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tech, consumer, business, and mainstream media contacts
  • Pitch stories and secure coverage across relevant media outlets
  • Organize press briefings, demos, interviews, and spokesperson preparation
  • Represent the Communications team within cross-functional meetings and collaborate across Product, Marketing, Legal, Policy, and Design teams
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines within a fast-moving environment
  • Track campaign performance, media coverage, and overall PR impact

PR Manager Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of PR, product communications, or related experience
  • Direct consumer technology (B2C) PR experience required
  • Strong understanding of today's social media and consumer tech landscape
  • Experience supporting consumer product launches and platform narratives
  • Background from in-house consumer technology companies strongly preferred
  • Agency experience supporting consumer tech clients also considered
  • Proven ability to execute reliably in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
  • Strong media relationships across tech, consumer, and business press
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Experience measuring and reporting on PR campaign performance

PR Manager Preferred Background:

  • Strong preference for candidates with experience from major consumer technology and social platform companies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with communication or social platforms
  • Exposure to subscription products, safety/trust initiatives, location-based products, or consumer AI technologies
  • Experience working with global teams
