We’re hiring a Graphic Designer for a hybrid opportunity in Columbus, Ohio. This is a contract position working onsite three days per week and remotely two days per week.

Join our client’s team as a Graphic Designer, where your creativity and attention to detail will play a pivotal role in shaping compelling marketing narratives. This role involves close collaboration with copywriters and project owners to develop content over structured timelines. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to communicate clearly through visuals and writing, and a patient, problem-solving approach.

This opportunity offers a 40-hour work week, W2 employment through Onward Search, weekly paychecks, and eligibility for benefits throughout the contract duration.

Graphic Designer Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce print materials, including product sampling and marketing collateral, ensuring alignment with brand standards.

  • Expertly manage layout and page design, focusing on text alignment, image placement, and consistent branding across various collateral.

  • Develop brand-compliant infographics or illustrative designs to enhance visual impact, ensuring they complement the overall design.

  • Thoughtfully interpret content and context to ensure design choices amplify the message while maintaining consistency.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal team members and project owners, providing clear rationale for design decisions.

  • Adapt quickly to established processes and procedures, managing time efficiently across multiple projects.

  • Approach tasks with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Graphic Designer Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a production environment, with a focus on structured product storytelling across multiple pieces.

  • A portfolio showcasing 4-5 examples of complex print collateral series.

  • Expertise in Adobe InDesign (must have), with proficient skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

  • Strong understanding of print production processes, including file setup and output.

  • Excellent file organization skills for seamless team collaboration.

  • Strong problem-solving skills in design and layout, with a keen conceptual ability.

  • Familiarity with Basecamp and SmartSheet is advantageous (preferred).

  • Experience with long-form print layout—brochures, booklets, reports, and complex mixed text-and-image compositions.

  • Hands-on experience managing multi-campaign series and coordinating multi-component, fast-moving marketing projects.
